Driver Assistance with IQ.DRIVE
Drive peace of mind with driver assistance technology that helps enhance safety.

Front Assist
The Forward Collision Warning (included in Front Assist) system can help monitor traffic and can alert you acoustically and visually to a potential rear-end collision with the vehicle moving ahead. If it senses that a collision is imminent, Autonomous Emergency Braking (included in Front Assist) can support the driver with increased brake pressure or, if the driver does not react at all, it can apply the brakes automatically. The Pedestrian Monitoring (included in Front Assist) feature can warn of pedestrians crossing in front of the vehicle and, under certain circumstances, can brake automatically to help mitigate the outcome of a collision with a pedestrian if the driver doesn’t respond to the warnings.

Blind Spot Monitor (Side Assist)
The Blind Spot Monitor (Side Assist) is a feature that can sense what you might miss. If you attempt to change lanes, Side Assist can help alert you to other cars that may be in your blind spot. The Active Blind Spot Monitor (available when vehicle is equipped with Lane Assist) on select models can also counter-steer within the limits of Lane Assist to help keep you in your lane if you attempt to change lanes when a vehicle is in your blind spot.

Rear Traffic Alert
Rear Traffic Alert comes in handy when you’re backing up. It has sensors that can alert you to detected vehicles crossing in your path when in reverse and can even help brake the vehicle if needed.

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
Available Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) helps the vehicle maintain a preset speed and distance from the car in front of you. When activated, if the car in front of you speeds up or slows down, the sensors can detect the change and your car follows suit up to the preset speed and/or preset distance.

Lane Assist
When moving above 37 mph, the available Lane Keeping System (Lane Assist) can sense if you start to drift into another lane without using the turn signal. Within the limits of the system, Lane Assist can help keep you in the current lane when lane markings are detected.

Area View
The available Overhead View Camera (Area View) helps give you a better view of what is around your vehicle.

Design
It’s hard not to notice the striking silhouette the ID.4 creates with its clean lines and aerodynamic elements. You want it all, and the ID.4 has it, because we didn’t sacrifice when creating an EV SUV that offers both form and function.
Slip into something stylish.
An SUV that offers clean, modern and simple design, with everything you might want at your fingertips.

Heated, multi-function touch steering.
We designed our heated, multi-function, touch steering wheel to feel extra comfortable in your hands, because it’s the part of the car you touch the most. We then placed the most important buttons and switches within easy reach, ensuring that the driver has command of the ID.4 within their grasp.
Panoramic fixed glass roof.
This expansive panoramic fixed glass roof lets the light in, providing a sweeping view of the sky. It can help keep the light out too, thanks to an electric sunshade that’s prompted with the swipe of your finger.

A brighter future
Talk about a glow up–with LED taillights, and illuminated door handles, the ID.4 practically radiates. And with the Pro S, Premium LED projector headlights and a beautifully illuminated front Volkswagen logo and connecting line adds a touch of style to its face.
The heart of an EV.
The function and size of an SUV

The MEB platform (essentially the vehicle’s underpinnings) has an elongated wheelbase and short overhangs. Plus, with the absence of a combustion engine, the interior cabin space is maximized even more.

The ID.4 is designed with all passengers in mind, not just the driver. With enough room for four friends, leg room in the rear of 37.6 inches, and 64.2 cu ft of cargo space with the rear seats folded down, you’ll feel the difference the MEB platform makes.
Performance
We’ve put power behind the performance with a 16-valve, 2.0L, 184-hp turbocharged engine.

Where to?
The Volkswagen ID.4 Pro can take you where you need to go with an EPA Estimated Range of 280 miles. Range for all other versions will vary.
Drive confidently.
The addition of all-wheel-drive in a typical SUV helps give the driver more traction. But the Volkswagen ID.4 is anything but typical. Available all-wheel-drive means getting a second electric motor at the front wheels–giving you quicker acceleration and intelligent handling that distributes all that power where it’s needed most.

Electric doesn’t have to mean sacrifice.
Not to worry, rev-heads, the ID.4 delivers on exhilaration… and then some. From the moment you hit the pedal, you’ll feel the instant torque. And while acceleration is much quieter than a combustion engine, we can’t promise you won’t break the silence with a few oohs and ahhs. This EV shatters expectations, even when it comes to fun.
